The Truth about PM Abiy Ahmed
Thursday July 26, 2018. The Ethiopian Diaspora greeted Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, who is making his first U.S. visit after instituting a series of transformative reforms in our country. “What a dreamy, fantasy world Ethiopia was immersed !!!”
All Ethiopians gave him their hearts and their souls. What a scoundrel, he scoundered it all.
Dear readers; on this blog, I want to bring to your attention how Abiy Ahmed’s true self was exposed on this day in Washington DC. Not many people noticed, but if we have paid attention, he has shown to us who he really was.
After they finished all the introductory and scheduled speeches, groups of National Ethiopian singers were performing on the stage. (Oromo, Gurage, Wellamo, Tigray, etc.) and they all performed to the fullest extent of their time. When the turn came to sing for Amhara performers, they were not allowed to perform. It was announced that Prime Minister is running out of time. Prime Minister Abiy responded by saying, “You will sing for us next time” and his visit was over. Sure enough, when he said you will sing for us in the future, he was envisioning our tears and our cries.
When I heard that, the first thing that came to my mind was, is this guy really Amhara? Because I was hurt by his action, I feel like I was punched in my gut with a sharp object. If that person was real Amhara, regardless of his time shortage, he should have allowed the Amhara group to continue to sing. For me that was the day he exposed himself that he is not really Amhara. I don’t know how many of the diaspora Ethiopians or Ethiopians at home watching on TV have noticed-that simple act but huge implication.
It did not take him long to show the world who he really is. See what and how he is acting towards political, economical and social conditions when it comes to Amhara and the true existence of Ethiopia. Almost five years? He is spiraling the nation into a living hell and Ethiopia has undoubtedly reached this dangerous stage. I don’t know what Amhara people and real Ethiopians waiting for. Are we waiting until the country’s identity swallowed up by these heartless and gutless so-called Oromo? Today they might come for Amhara, but after us, it will be every contiguous state or Kilel or tribe they will come after. Then, what are you going to do? Is that the legacy we want to leave behind.
God forbid. We will prevail.
Now we are sick of his lies, pretending and preaching how the country should be united and seek peaceful solutions to live together, in the meanwhile, he is allowing killings, maiming, raping and demolishing peoples’ homes with children, women and elderlies still inside and in the middle of the night. How cruel and savage a group of people can become! there is no word to express it.
Amhara/Ethiopia, Let us Organize ourselves. You match your enemy fist with fist, gun with gun, sword with sword. Army with Army. All Ethiopians should understand this clearly. There is no other solution to our collective problem. We cannot fend it by showing up on You tube and blabber about it. We cannot fend this by singing and dancing shouting heroic songs or continuously complaining. They are in a highly organized and developed performance. They are doing it in front of our eyes, but we are still in slumber.
Let us be in constant motion to get rid of Abiy and his Cronies. wake up – God Bless Ethiopia.
